Kidana Co. Projects for Competitiveness and Humanization at the Holy Sites

Kidana Development Company is working to bring about a significant transformation in the services at the holy sites through development and humanization projects, as well as enhancing infrastructure. One of the leading projects in holy sites is the “Kidana Al-Wadi Towers” project, located in Mina, with the capacity of accommodating 37,000 pilgrims over an area of 165,000 square meters. This project stands out for its numerous services that have significantly improved the quality of services provided. The residential buildings, prepared to host pilgrims of the Holy Mosque, are equipped with a range of logistical services, including medical clinic rooms, internal prayer areas, dining halls, and central kitchens. The towers’ proximity to Jamarat facility further enhances the experience for pilgrims during their stay in Mina.

The project consists of ten towers, accommodating 37,000 pilgrims. Each building includes a ground floor and four additional floors, as well as two prayer areas that can hold more than 600 worshippers. There is also a dining area featuring a central kitchen in each building, with an area of 280 square meters and a capacity to produce 15,000 meals daily. Additionally, each building has an open rooftop space equipped with all necessary services, providing a place for the pilgrims of each building to rest. These modern towers serve as a competitive model in the service of pilgrims, and a future vision that emphasizes Kingdom’s efforts to achieve the highest levels of excellence in the services provided to pilgrims. Kidana Development Company is enhancing operational efficiency through the “Tasleem” and “Malik” centers at the holy sites, with the aim of improving and refining services at Mina.

Among the developmental projects that have come into service at the holy sites is the “Holy Sites Pathway” project (Phase One), which aims to enhance the quality of services provided to Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims and facilitate pedestrian movement. The project includes green spaces, commercial kiosks, and eco-friendly rubber flooring to improve the comfort of the pilgrims. Additionally, Kidana has completed the humanization project for the descent stations in Muzdalifah, covering an area of 27,000 square meters. The site has been leveled to increase the capacity to accommodate 18,000 pilgrims, along with expansion of the surrounding roads.

Jabal Al-Rahmah project includes parking spaces for 95 cars, 31 buses, and 18 toilet complexes, along with 132 water fountains, 41 kiosks, 12 parking spaces for food trucks, and 40 scenic seating areas.

The Fire Networks Project, now fully operational, aims to achieve sustainability and enhance the quality of services provided to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, ensuring a safe residential environment. The project, divided into two phases, focused on replacing fire and cooling networks in 80 blocks during Phase One, with Phase Two targeting development of 46 blocks. Kidana has completed the replacement of the main water pipelines for 992 restrooms, making them fully operational, along with 641 kitchens, in preparation for the 1445 AH Hajj season. As part of this project, Kidana also constructed 8,000 toilets.
