Our Key Achievements

Project for Cooling and Shading the Area Surrounding Jabal Al-Rahmah
Kidana has completed the second phase of the shading and cooling project for the area surrounding Mount Arafat for the Hajj season of 1447 AH, aimed at enriching the experience of the Guests of Allah. This is a pioneering project implemented for the first time in the Holy Sites, involving cooling and shading the surrounding area of Jabal Al-Rahmah over a total area of more than 392,000 m², increasing pilgrim utilization by five times compared to last year, and providing a more comfortable environment during the performance of rituals. The second phase for 1447 AH included a significant expansion with the installation of 18 modern umbrellas equipped with 36 mist fans, in addition to 7 advanced cooling units and 107 air distribution columns to ensure reduced temperatures and a more comfortable environment. This achievement builds upon the first phase carried out in 1446 AH, which included the installation of 3 umbrellas and more than 165 mist fan columns.
Emergency Hospital Project in Mina
To increase capacity by 100% compared to last year, the Emergency Hospital in Mina has been expanded through the construction of three floors and an annex, with a total built-up area of 18,000 m². The project also strengthens field integration by connecting the hospital to Mina Emergency Hospital (1) via a dedicated bridge to ensure seamless and integrated service delivery. This development has doubled the hospital’s bed capacity to 400 beds. It also builds upon the first phase, which covered an area of 5,300 m² with a capacity of 200 beds during the Hajj season of 1446 AH.
Kidana Al-Khayf Tents Project
To increase the accommodation capacity in Mina, the Kidana Al-Khayf camps were constructed near the Jamarat facility over an area of 24,000 m² across two main locations: along King Abdulaziz Road and behind Al-Khayf Mosque, in partnership with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This comes as part of a set of development projects aimed at improving the experience of the Guests of Allah and enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure in the Holy Sites, in preparation for the Hajj season of 1447 AH.
Project for Pilgrims’ Rest Areas along Pedestrian Routes in the Holy Sites
More than 66,000 m² of pilgrims’ rest areas have been developed along pedestrian routes in the Holy Sites, featuring designated seating and rest zones, increasing the utilized area by 220%. Kidana implemented the second phase of the project over an area of 36,000 m², following the first phase executed in the 1446 AH season over 30,000 m². This expansion has contributed to doubling the service area by 220% compared to the previous total, reflecting a qualitative expansion in service coverage and improved efficiency in the utilization of pedestrian pathways.
