Planting Native Trees: First Phase of the Green Mashair Initiative

During the first phase of the “Green Holy Sites” initiative, a selection of trees suited to the nature and climate of Makkah was planted. This initiative aims to enhance vegetation cover in the region and improve the environment surrounding the holy sites, contributing to sustainable development.

This effort is part of broader initiatives to improve air quality and provide natural shade, ensuring greater comfort for the guests of Allah.

Participants in the initiative praised the significance of this step in promoting environmental sustainability and its role in supporting Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving and nurturing the environment.
