“Kidana” reviews development projects in the Holy Sites

Kidana Development Company, the major developer of the holy sites, hosted a workshop focused on development projects within the holy sites. The event witnessed participation from various government agencies and was attended by specialists from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, the Presidency of State Security, Public Security, and Civil Defense.

At the start of the workshop, the CEO of Kidana Development Company, Eng. Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Mejmaj, extended his congratulations to everyone on the successful Hajj season of 1445 AH. He emphasized that this achievement was made possible by the grace of God Almighty, followed by the wise leadership’s guidance and its commitment to fostering integration among the relevant authorities to deliver the best and highest quality services to Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims.

The workshop explored the lessons learned from the recent Hajj season and reviewed the perspectives of relevant authorities, partners, and specialists. It also examined the work mechanisms needed to strengthen positive aspects and address any issues that might arise during the field teams’ on-the-ground operations.

The workshop reviewed the projects that benefited pilgrims during the 1445 AH Hajj season, highlighting over 20 initiatives carried out by “Kidana.” These included key development projects, housing projects, health facilities, and infrastructure improvements.

During the workshop, participants were informed about the projects planned for implementation in the current year, 1446 AH. These projects focus on achieving operational excellence, enhancing pilgrim’s experience, increasing asset readiness, developing housing projects, and expanding capacity. The initiatives aim to improve response times to reports, address issues efficiently, enhance disembarkation areas, and facilitate pedestrian movement.

At conclusion of the workshop, perspectives of the participating parties were heard, with the goal of advancing development of the holy sites across various areas. The focus was on enhancing and improving the level of services to ensure that Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims receive the highest quality care during their stay at the holy sites.

It is noteworthy that this workshop is the first in a series of many workshops and meetings planned with relevant government and service agencies. These sessions are aimed at ensuring the highest quality of services for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims as part of the ongoing development of the holy sites.
