The entry of leading local brands for the first time into the Holy Sites.

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the environment of the Holy Sites and improving the quality of services provided to the Guests of Allah during this year’s Hajj season 1446 AH, Kidana Development and Development Company – the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and the Holy Sites – has signed a series of contracts with a group of leading national brands to operate the newly developed commercial units in the Holy Sites, in preparation for this year’s Hajj season.

This initiative aims to enrich the pilgrims’ experience by providing a diverse range of high-quality commercial services, while also supporting national brands, promoting local content, and enabling them to play an active role in the service ecosystem. This comes particularly after the transformation of the old kiosks into modern rental units that have been carefully designed in line with the architectural guidelines of Makkah and the Holy Sites, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve quality of life.

The initiative reflects Kidana’s aspirations for the sustainable development of the Holy Sites and increasing private sector participation as one of its strategic enablers. For the first time, local brands are entering the Holy Sites to offer their services to pilgrims. Additionally, the variety of commercial activities—particularly in banking, catering and medical services, as well as restaurants and cafés—will contribute to achieving the highest levels of comfort for pilgrims during their rituals.
