Our Key Achievements

Project for the Development of the Sanitation System comprising 516 complexes and approximately 17,000 toilets
To reduce waiting times and improve access to sanitation facilities, Kidana developed the sanitation system comprising 516 complexes and approximately 17,000 toilets. This was achieved through the implementation of two-story toilet facilities in 79 complexes containing 7,838 toilets, reducing waiting times by 75%, while maintaining pilgrims’ accommodation space. In addition, the capacity of toilet facilities in Muzdalifah and Arafat was increased through 411 complexes containing 6,987 toilets. Further development works were carried out on toilet complexes in Arafat and Muzdalifah through 31 complexes containing 2,087 toilets. As a result, the total number of toilet complexes in the Holy Sites has reached more than 3,916 complexes, comprising over 115,000 toilets across the holy sites.
Project for Humanizing the Holy Sites and Enhancing the Urban Landscape of Mina and the Holy Sites
As part of qualitative projects, the Humanization of the Holy Sites project enhanced the visual environmental quality in the Holy Sites by developing 51,750 m² along King Abdulaziz Road and in the pilgrim drop-off areas in Muzdalifah, aiming to improve the visual landscape and implement the best architectural and urban solutions.
Project for Tree Planting and Increasing Green Cover in the Holy Sites of Makkah
Under the Green Holy Sites initiative, more than 60,000 trees have been planted, tripling the green coverage area. Kidana continues to implement its projects aimed at enhancing vegetation cover in the second phase across the Holy Sites through the planting of 40,000 trees, as part of its ongoing efforts to support environmental sustainability and improve the experience of the Guests of Allah, following the completion of the first phase, which included the planting of 20,000 trees.
Project for the Construction of More Than 550 MVA of Low- and Medium-Voltage Networks
To enhance operational efficiency, Kidana implemented more than 550 MVA of low- and medium-voltage networks and replaced 290 panels with new and upgraded ones in the main and sub tents, in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency and safety.
